Love, the race towards perfecting all holiness within us. As if it were passing through veil after veil we see dimly now: along with Grace that empowers us to become sons of God, all becomes more evident. “Oh dear these stains! this will not do.” walking onward with Christ before us pulling back each covering on our behalf. “Woe is me, I am unclean… Father, would thine eyes behold my nakedness? would it be that I might embrace you?”

For the purpose of light is to be made manifest and to vanquish darkness. Should darkness take root and have dominion, there is no light, it has not been made manifest. How so, that dark would battle light and win? Of no founding is this foolishness, knowing that these are simply the absence of Light.

The anger of God; having such lovingly, long-suffering nature. How then would we kindle His wrath? What manner of atrocities have we regarded justified in our own eyes? Would we dare provoke a Father of insurmountable mercies to anger!? “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.” (Jeremiah 23:1) “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5;20) “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:31) Having guided, protected, loved, and given all there is to offer. Forgiving trespass, after trespass, after trespass. Even still should you be betrayed, dishonored, and hated?

Oh solemn rest, a sweet nectar of peace and understanding. Such a wonderful path having been kept secret from the wise and knowledgeable who sleep so presumptuously, and reserved for the humble, the righteous, the sorrowfully afflicted for sin.

Oh Israel, Israel, Israel; how could you, with so much mercy upon you, turn from our God? Seeing the consequences of sin and the oppression that comes from lusting after other gods, even with the hand of the Lord still lifting you for your cries. Again you turn, you turn, and again, again. Like a dog returning to its vomit, “Truly, I say unto you, that ye may be moved by the beginnings of wisdom.”

The light of Scripture reveals, where would the people be should they have been faithful and obedient. Should Israel have continued conquering, surely enough the entire world would have been delivered unto their dominion. But this was not so, indeed the land of Israel is a considerably small nation. Even surrounded by enemies. Let us learn from these and fight the good fight.

Yea, love your enemies. Were it not for the love of our enemy, we would all be lost. For having clung to our pleasure and turned our faces from God, we expressed hatred and made ourselves His enemy. Even so, He loved us in giving himself on our behalf this is the greatness of Love.

Why settle, why settle with just enough to make it into salvation? We will not reach the kingdom of God with “enough”. Why mix ourselves with earthly dramas and the gain of comforts, worrying only for what is to our interest. This is not enough… pursue Holiness, seek after the Light of our Father in heaven, every moment more at one with our God. More, we need more. Hunger for purity, thirst for righteousness, ache at the desire for more. More, we need more. Cry out for wisdom, lift up your voices for understanding. More, we need more! It is simply not enough, more! The Lord gives more than enough.
